Size and fit
- What are the closed width, depth and height?
- What is the opened length, measured from the back of the sofa?
- What is the sleeping area, and the mattress height from the floor?
- What is the diagonal depth, for getting through doors?
- Do the arms, legs or back come off for delivery?
Bed and mattress
- Which mechanism is it: tri-fold, bi-fold, click-clack or pull-forward?
- What type of mattress, and how thick?
- What is the deck made of: fabric, wire mesh or slats?
- Can the mattress be replaced, and what is the maximum thickness the frame will close with?
- Is the frame steel, and is the mechanism covered separately by the warranty?
Fabric
- What is the rub count, and was it tested by Martindale or Wyzenbeek?
- What is the cleaning code?
- Are the covers removable and washable?
- Can I have a fabric sample to check colour at home?
Delivery
- Is delivery to the room of choice, or to the front door only?
- Will the crew take it up stairs, and is there a charge per floor?
- What happens if it won't fit through the door: is there a fee, and who takes it away?
- Is packaging removed, and is the old sofa taken away (and at what cost)?
Assembly
- Does it arrive assembled, partly assembled or flat-packed?
- If flat-packed, how many people and how long does assembly take?
- Is assembly offered, and is it included in the price?
- For a wall bed: what wall types is it approved for, and who fits it?
Returns
- How many days do I have to return it, and from which date: order or delivery?
- Is there a restocking or collection charge?
- Do returns apply to made-to-order fabrics and colours?
- Must it be in the original packaging?
